Chairman of the jury – Honoured Artist of Kabardino-Balkaria, laureate of all-Russian and international contests Mikhail Golikov. Mikhail Golikov is an art director and chief conductor of Tavrichesky State Symphony Orchestra of Leningrad Region, head of Students Symphony Orchestra at St. Petersburg Conservatoire, Director of St. Petersburg State Philharmonic for Children and Young People; he works closely with symphony orchestras of D. Shostakovich Academic Philharmonic, is a principal guest conductor of Irkutsk State Philharmonic.
 

 

Fedor Elesin

Germany (Hamburg), cellist

Outstanding cellist, winner of 24 prizes of international music contests, among them “New Classics”, “Virtuosos 2000”, “Palaces of St. Petersburg”, etc.; winner of S. Prokofiev Prize, multiple winner of German Musical Instruments Fund contest. The virtuoso cellist has performed in the most prestigious concert halls of the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Berlin Philharmonic, St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London, Grand Hall of St. Petersburg Philharmonic. Fedor Elesin is also an organizer of music festivals, contests, annual series of concerts and master classes: “Music Island Europa”, “Musitektur#”, “MUSIKHANSA” and “ARABESQUES EN RUSSIE”.

Eteri Beriashvili is a Georgian and Russian singer, actress, songwriter, composer. Participant of “Jazz Parking” music project and a TV project “Golos-2” on the First Channel. Eteri is a jazz vocalist performing at the best Moscow scenes for over 20 years. Her stage partners are such Russian pop stars as Andrey Makarevich, Leonid Agutin, Laima Vaikule, Tamara Gverdtsiteli.

Ana-Marija Markovina

Germany (Cologne), pianist, jury on-line

A native of Croatia, Ana-Marija studied in Berlin, Vienna and Weimar. She toured more than 50 countries of the world with concerts, performing both solo and with such orchestras as Kiel Philharmonic Orchestra, New Philharmonic Orchestra of Westphalia, Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra (Germany), Brandenburg Symphonic Orchestra, Stettin Philharmonic Orchestra (Poland), Oulu Symphony Orchestra (Finland), New Japanese Philharmonic Orchestra (Tokyo) and many others. A collection of compositions performed by Ana-Marija was released on 26 discs, recorded together with “Hänssler Classic”. The best known record was awarded with many prizes, among which the French “Choc de Classica” and “Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik”. The record was distributed in the world classic charts and got the highest rating and universal recognition.

 

 
 
 

 

Olga Arbenina


Russia (St. Petersburg),soprano

 

Born in St. Petersburg. In 1989 he graduated with honors from the school of violin music . In 1994 he graduated with honors from the Conservatory School of Music Rimsky -Korsakov singing .
From 1997 to 2000 she was the student of singing Petrozavodsk State Conservatory and both the Musical Theatre solo Karelia (Petrozavodsk ) .

Olga Arbenina graduated with distinction from Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg Musical School (vocal class).

In 2000-2007 Olga was a student of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov St.Petersburg State Conservatory. As a solo artist she was playing numerous parts in Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov music theatre: Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), Marpha (Tsar’s Bride), Belinda (Dido and Aeneas). Olga is the Laureate of The International Rimsky-Korsakov Vocal Competition (St. Petersburg), The International Antonín Dvořák Singing Competition (Karlovy Vary), and Bella Voce (Moscow). 

In 2008 she had an internship in the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome.

Since 1993 Olga has been actively going on tours in St. Petersburg, as well as in Europe – Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain and England.

Since 2013 she has been living in Spain and working with Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra (conducted by José Francisco Sánchez) and Region of Murcia Symphony Orchestra.

Since 2018 Olga is the founder and the manager of cultural and musical project COSTA FESTA.  

 

 

 

 

 

Dmitry Myachin

Russia (St. Petersburg), piano,official accompanistof the Сompetition

Dmitry Myachin is a pianist, graduated from Saint Petersburg State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov. At the age of 11 Dmitry became a laureate of the All-Russian Glinka Competition in Moscow. In 2007, Dmitry won the International Chopin Competition in St. Petersburg. He performs both solo and in ensemble on the largest venues of Russia and the world, among them the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Small Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the St. Petersburg State Academic Capella, the Great Hall of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Smolny Cathedral (St. Petersburg), the National Theater of K.Bayseitova (Astana, Kazakhstan), Sunport Hall Takamatsu (Takamatsu, Japan), the concert hall of the Kazan Kremlin and many others. Since 2016 he is a member of the Union of Concert Figures of St. Petersburg. In November 2016 Dmitry got a diploma as the best accompanist of the Rachmaninov competition in St. Petersburg. In March-April 2016 he won the 1st prize in the composition of the duet (soprano, piano) at the International Vocal Contest named after Zara Dolukhanova “Amber Nightingale”. In September 2017, Dmitry was a staff pianist at the Elena Obraztsova International Competition of Young Opera Singers. Dmitry is the Honorary Director of the International Arts Center “Wings” in Beijing.

 

 
 
 
 

 

Pedro Carneiro

Portugal, violin

Pedro Carneiro is a famous virtuosic violinist from Portugal. At the age of 19 he was invited to join Madeira Classical Orchestra where he continued his violin study with Yury Kiritchenko. Later he continued his study in Tchaikovsky National Music Academy in Kiev.

Pedro Carneiro is a soloist of Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, Portuguese Chamber Orchestra, Paris National Opera Orchestra, The City of Elche Symphony Orchestra, Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra, Madrid Symphony Orchestra, etc.

Pedro Carneiro plays the violin made by Miguel Mateus, the famous Portuguese violin maker. He is the official representative of the brand  D’Addario in Portugal.

In 2015 he founded his own cultural and musical project “NEW VIBRATIONS” where he also functions as an artistic director. Within the framework of this project annual music festivals and contests are held in Portugal.

 

 

 

 

 
 
 
 
 

 

Аnna Backerra

Holland, composer,piano

 

Anna is a unique woman. Despite being a theoretical physicist she is also a wonderful composer and an outstanding pianist. 

She studied composition under the guidance of Boris Tischenko, who himself was a student of famous Dmitri Shostakovich and a follower of symphony.

In 2003 she graduated with distinction from the conservatory in Enschede (The Netherlands) and became a Laureate of several international awards in nomination “Composition Art”. Anna is the author of numerous compositions for piano, string quartet, orchestra suits, song cycles and opera.

Since 2010 Anna is the founder and the director of the large annual music festival for children “Fresh Notes in Spring” in Deventer.

Alexey Sokolov

Russia, (St. Petersburg), saxofon

 

At the age of 12 he’s has won the 1st prize at the woodwinds and drums contest of young performers, and at the age of 17 he became the Laureate of the international contest in New York. 

Since 2008 he received a stipend in Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA).

He has learned from famous musical teachers such as Walter Beasley, Greg Osby, Bill Pierce and many others. During the years of studying in the USA Aleksey Sokolov twice was honoured with Berklee award for outstanding abilities (“Charlie Parker Award”, 2011 and “Joseph Viola Award”, 2012). He has also performed with Berklee String Orchestra in the legendary conservatory Jordan Hall in Boston.

After signing the contract with an entertainment agency in USA he started touring along the East Coast, where he met professional musicians and performed together with them.

Since 2017 he works in Saint Petersburg and joins several orchestras: Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra, The Saint Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra and Tavrichesky Orchestra. Mariia Semenova

Russia,San Petersburg,violin

Окончила Санкт-Петербургскую государственную консерваторию им. Н.А. Римского-Корсакова. С 2009 года является концертмейстером группы вторых скрипок Государственного симфонического оркестра Ленинградской области “Таврический”. Более 10 лет преподает в Детской музыкальной школе №11 Василеостровского района Санкт-Петербурга – ведет класс скрипки и класс ансамбля, учитель высшей категории, последние 3 года является заведующей отдела струнных музыкальных инструментов ДМШ №11. Преподавательская деятельность Марии Семёновой отмечена грамотами и благодарственными письмами, а ученики и воспитанники неоднократно становились лауреатами и дипломантами престижных международных и всероссийских музыкальных конкурсов. Санкт-Петербургский ансамбль скрипачей “Звуки острова” под руководством Марии Семёновой в 2018 году стал лучшим ансамблем города. Ведет активную гастрольную деятельность, успешно совмещает педагогическую и исполнительскую практики, проводит мастер-классы в России и за рубежом. Играет на скрипке русского мастера второй половины 20 века.

PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

Participating in the Contest is open to every young musician aged from 6 to 20 from any country.
Each participant of the Contest have to present one detailed performance or several diverse works by his choice with the total duration:
  • The 1st age category – up to 6 minutes
  • The 2nd age category – up to 8 minutes
  • The 3rd age category – up to 10 minutes
  • The 4th age category – up to 12 minutes
  • The 5th age category – up to 15 minutes
The participants are rated by each member of the jury on a scale of 1 to 10 according to 4 criteria:
  • Complexity of the repertoire
  • Technique and performing skills
  • Musicality, completeness of portraying the vision and the meaning of the composition performed
  • Stage arts and culture, artistry
Filling out the application form it’s compulsory to specify the name of the work, the author (authors) of the music and the lyrics and the duration of each composition.

In case of use backing (instrumental) tracks by the participant they have to be sent to the Administration via email info@costafesta.com until 25 February 2019. The email also should contain the full name of the participant, his age and nomination. The recordings of low quality are not accepted.

A participant has the right to change one or several compositions of his/her repertoire if necessary, provided that the duration of his/her performance is not exceeded according to the age category and the condition of diversity of works is fulfilled.

Only the following audio formats are accepted: MP3, WAV. A participant must have a copy of his audio file on USB flash- drive with him.

A singer is forbidden to use backing tracks with vocals during his performance. Only live performance is acceptable. Back vocals are allowed without dubbing the main voice.
